-10 C and morning commute

Not so bad, even though that i have only 5.5 km to my work which takes some 20-25 minutes on the icy roads.
Sunny and minimum wind boosts the good mood for cycling 🙂
It’s important to keep calm and keep the straight line while riding on the ice, no sudden braking and no sudden turns, just easy ride.

Finally some REAL winter temperatures

On Saturday evening Dec 27th the snow started slowly and by the end of sunday we had some 20cm of fresh snow in the city.
Swapped the tires on my city commute bicycle (Scott) tto some cheap VeeRubber MTB tires 1.95×26″ that are very new.

Dec 29th commute to work was so fine, even on -5 C temperature. With enough clothes such as ski pants (Peak performance) and thermal long legg underpants, windproof jacket that is labeled as “infra red” :), so much that it hurts to look at it, i hope i am very very visible to other people on the streets.
Except of course to those that are walking&looking at their smartphones constantly-but that is just 85% of people 🙂 :).

On my way to work, most of the roads have been cleaned already.

Happy hanging in the company bicycle storage

Tomorrow morning, according to meteo sites, we should have some -10 C and strong wind-good time to double check my winter city gear and how it’s functioning! 😀
